Piano Etudes - Gurlitt | Song Without Words, Op. 117, No. 34

An important skill for classical pianists to master is being able to achieve different volumes for the individual notes or lines within a musical texture. being able to do this lets you bring out things like the melody or bass so that we don't hear everything as a single, static mass. In this very pretty piece by Cornelius Gurliit, you'll practice bringing out the top line while the rest of the notes form a streaming harmonic foundation. Liberty Park Music piano instructor West Troiano demonstrates some tricks and strategies. If you want to learn piano, join us today and check out our brand-new beginner piano course!
